Norman M. Weissman

Norm Weissman is the President and founder of the Dayton, Ohio-based ten person consulting firm, The Weissman Group, formerly Employee Relations Consultants, Inc. He completed his BBA degree at the University of Georgia and studied for his MBA at the University of Dayton. Prior to establishing his consulting firm in 1980, he compiled an impressive record as Vice President of Human Resources for a Fortune 500 Corporation.

Norm Weissman has over twenty-five (25) years of experience in labor relations in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, food processing, service, retail, construction, health care, as well as the public sector. He has assisted numerous companies in designing and implementing human resource systems, including selection processes, training and development, productivity gainsharing programs and communication fora.

He has also facilitated client companies through organizational design, new organization start-ups, as well as in developmental and maintenance of direct relationship work environments. His firm has a 98% success rate in maintaining a union free environment in client companies. Norm serves on the Board of Directors of several organizations and corporations.

Mary Rita Weissman

Mary Rita Weissman is an officer and consultant with The Weissman Group. She received her BS degree from Loyola University in Chicago and her MBA from the University of Dayton.

Her labor relations experience spans 25 years. She spent many years working in all aspects of employee and labor relations management with a Fortune 500 Company in positions of increasing responsibility. Her final position, prior to joining The Weissman Group, was Vice President, Human Resources.

She has assisted clients in all areas of personnel and labor relations, including labor contract negotiations, arbitrations, charge resolution, strategic human resource and labor relations planning, supervisory/management development, continuous improvement systems and establishing disciplined approaches to problem solving. She has dealt with numerous local and international unions and has experience with the EEOC, OCRC, NLRB and a multitude of other regulatory agencies.
